Inbound Receiving
Inbound Receiving is the process of receiving and integrating new materials or finished products into your warehouse or production line. It serves as the “first checkpoint” in the supply chain, ensuring that goods are accurately and efficiently entered into the inventory system.
Upon arrival, pallets or cases are unloaded from vehicles using either automated unloading equipment (such as the Asian Elephant Robot) or manual labor. The received goods are cross-checked against the purchase order and shipping list to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Goods are repacked into standardized containers (e.g., totes or pallets) using automation like the Palletizing Robot for easy storage or sorting.
The system assigns the optimal storage location based on the goods' attributes and inventory status. Automated equipment (e.g., AGVs, RGVs, OHTs, Conveyors) then transports the goods to storage or cross-docking areas.
All data is updated in real-time with the Warehouse Management System (WMS), ensuring traceability and accurate stock levels across the system.
Cross-Docking
Cross-docking is a highly efficient logistics strategy where goods are quickly transferred from receiving to shipping areas without the need for storage. Our solution ensures fast and precise movement of goods, whether it's pallets or cases, supercharging fulfillment and elevating logistics efficiency to new heights.
For cross-docking needs, the WES (Warehouse Execution System) offers two solutions: direct cross-docking and sorting cross-docking.
Once the goods are unloaded, the system automatically scans and identifies the product details, ensuring accurate matching of inbound and outbound locations to meet material demands on time.
AGVs or conveyor systems then transport the goods to the loading area for shipment to their destination.
Inventory and logistics data are updated in real-time, ensuring full traceability throughout the process.
Returns Receiving
Streamlining returns is a vital element of a holistic supply chain strategy, as it not only minimizes losses but also enhances customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Upon arrival, returns are inspected manually or by automated systems.
Based on inspection results, the system categorizes items as resalable, repairable, or disposable.
Resalable items are refurbished with repackaging and labeling before being restocked. If demand is high, they are placed in a short-term buffer area.
