Winit's Germany Fulfillment Center, located in Bremen, offers logistics distribution services across Germany and the entire EU, serving as a crucial overseas warehousing station for cross-border e-commerce sellers looking to grow their presence in Europe.

To better align with the business needs of Bremen Fulfillment Center, BlueSword and Winit have embarked on a collaborative journey, implementing advanced pallet-level warehousing solutions to enhance its logistics fulfillment capabilities.

The storage area features a six-level Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) equipped with 7 stacker cranes, spanning 14 aisles and capable of accommodating up to 22,000 storage units. Additionally, 26 AMRs have been deployed to seamlessly connect the storage area with picking stations.

Project Highlights

• The system design has effectively utilized warehouse space to achieve maximum storage capacity.

• Each stacker crane operates efficiently within two aisles via a curved track, significantly saving equipment investment.

• The variable fork design offers great flexibility, adaptable to different sizes of pallets.

• The time prediction-based scheduling algorithm can improve AMR utilization, reduce traffic obstacles, and elevate operational flexibility and efficiency.

Project Achievements

• The stacker crane ASRS offers high-density storage with a throughput capacity of 259 pallets per hour.

• Two pallet sizes are employed to flexibly meet the storage needs of different types of goods.

• The AMR fleet efficiently handles inbound and outbound operations, processing up to 180 pallets per hour.

• The goods-to-person picking system is precise and effective, significantly reducing carbon footprints.

• The entire system enhances smart inventory management and order fulfillment for large-sized goods while minimizing manual labor costs.

The Bremen pallet-level warehousing system represents the first project undertaken by BlueSword in Germany. Through a robust collaboration with Winit, our team successfully accomplished the project delivery within the designated timeframe.
